The one where we were all about 2 hours late to zone conference 5/22/2018

Hey hi hello it's me again,

This week has been a good one! We did exchanges with Stuttgart International sisters on Wednesday. Sister Pitcher came with me, and Sister Udy went with the other two. Haahah most missionaries talk about "tausch miracles" ours was more of "tausch disasters" but we had a good time! We met with a guy named Fakebba for the first time, when we talked about the book of Mormon and gave us one he promised that he would read, we hadn't even asked him to read yet, let alone promise to read. It was awesome! We also met a man named Jorge while streeting, and he was so excited to learn more! We are excited to meet with him!

As for the disasters... I will just name one, we had an appointment with a less active member in an old persons home. I had never met her yet so I didn't know where she lived or what she looked like- and neither did Sister Pitcher. We couldn't find the place and she wouldn't answer her phone, so we went and got dinner in the area and waited to see if she would call. She did, and we told her we would be there soon. She told us she would wait for us by the elevator. When we got there there was a lady waiting by the elevator who was so excited to see us! We apologized for being late and she asked us to sit down, after talking to her for about a minute I had a feeling that it was not the member we were looking for. We talked for another couple minutes and no one else came by to wait by the elevator.... turns out after talking to a nurse it wasn't her. And we found the member and were able to get to know her. It was sooo funny. When we left the other lady was still by the elevator and still wanted to chat....

This week we also spent a lot of time trying to prepare for zone conference. Elder Warnick was the only one out of us four to have any idea about what to do, and so planning was filled with lots of kicks and giggles and pulled out hair. But we pulled it off. -the training that is.

As for zone conference... It was planned that the Stuttgart zone would combine with the Munich zone in Munich. So we all had to take a bus to Munich. We had sleepovers and then woke up between 5-5:30 so that we could catch our bus to the conference. Someone thought it was only a 2 hour trip to the conference, turns out it was 4 and we were 1.5 hours late to zone conference. But the a conference was really good. It was so wonderful to see so many MTC friends and other mission friends. I truly do love my mission. However, 8 hours in one day on a bus with 26 missionaries is not my favorite. But I do love the loud crazy hooligans.

Today we went to a tower and climbed it and I about had an anxiety attack- I may have conquered a lot of things on my mission (like the ability to eat peanut butter and mushrooms and like them, or talk to 100 people I don't know everyday) but heights are still something I just can't do.

“Mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. … Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. … Speak your love and then speak it again” -President Howard W. Hunter

I love you all and I hope you're all having an awesome week! Ps for those of you who promised me letters and packages- you better get on that pretty soon. 😉

The one where I finally have a Utah companion 5/15/2018

Hi guys!

The last few weeks have been a little crazy and there's too much to say so we'll see what I can type out in the next few minutes.

I am now in Stuttgart with Sister Udy. She is my first Utah companion and is from the same group as Sister Cook. Speaking of Sister Cook, it sucked to say goodbye to her because I love her to death. I would have gladly served another with her, she's the best. Leaving Bad Säckingen was really hard, I had been there for 20 weeks (the longest I've been in an area my whole mission, winning by 8 weeks lol.) Deyanira called the night before I left and cried, basically it was a very rough night and I wanted even less to go... but I did anyway.

Sister Udy is awesome. She's spunky and crazy and we have a great time. Here in Stuttgart there is a giant street with more people than I have ever seen and we are able to do so much street contacting. Its sooo crazy but I love it. We don't even have to knock doors anymore! It's the best!

Last week we went to Munich for MLC. It was awesome. There are so many great leaders in our mission, and President and Sister Brown are on fire with how amazing and inspired they are. We are super pumped for zone conference next week!

Sunday we were able to Skype home! So good to see the family again (I love you all) but so crazy to see how much everyone has grown and changed!!

There's lots of work here to do and we are excited to git er done!

“The world is not bashful in offering numerous new answers to every problem we face. People run from one new idea to the next, hoping to find something that will answer the burning questions of their souls. They attend seminars and buy books … and other products. They get caught up in the excitement of looking for something new. But inevitably, the flame of each new theory fades, only to be replaced by another ‘new and improved’ solution that promises to do what the others before could not.
“It’s not that these worldly options don’t contain elements of truth—many of them do. Nevertheless, they all fall short of the lasting change we seek in our lives. After the excitement wears off, the hollowness remains as we look for the next new idea to unlock the secrets of happiness.
“In contrast, the gospel of Jesus Christ has the answers to all of our problems. The gospel is not a secret. It is not complicated or hidden. It can unlock the door to true happiness. It is not someone’s theory or proposition. It does not come from man at all. It springs from the pure and everlasting waters of the Creator of the universe, who knows truths we cannot even begin to comprehend” - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

The one where transfers happened again 5/1/2018

Hi everyone!

So many things have happened this week and I definitely can't write everything but I'll do a nice summarization.

-We did a lot of finding. Quite a lot.
-We met with lots of less active and active members and strengthened the bonds with missionaries.
-We ate a lot of asparagus, but the only good thing about it was it tasted good. The asparagus here is white and it doesn't make your per smell funny. Where's the fun in that?
-We went by on a family we found a while ago and luckily they were home. They fed us cake and about 7 glasses of water. After we had to run to catch our bus that Google maps said was coming.
-Google maps made up the bus and there was no bus.
-We were in middle of nowhere and there were no bathrooms.
-My bladder was fuller than it has ever been.
-There was a former investigator about 2 houses away from the bus stop, who had called us a month before telling us she didn't want to meet any more.
-Desperate times called for desperate measures.
-She let us use her bathroom and then invited us to stay and talk until the next bus came !!  (We later realized that that was all God's plan and He arranged it all, including having Google maps create a fake bus. All in all it was very exciting and relieving)...
-I had a dream we got transfer calls and I got called to Stuttgart.
- We got transfer calls...
-I'm going to Stuttgart
-I said lots of goodbyes and it was not fun.

"The Gospel which we preach is the Gospel of life and salvation. The Church which we represent is the Church and Kingdom of God, and possesses the only faith by which the children of men can be brought back into the presence of our Father and God." -Brigham Young

Jung, a darling member that invited us over every other week- she's the best!; had to say goodbye to Niaga; FHE with Fam Daum and Fam Miniera! I love these people!!

The one where I'm a grandma! 4/24/2018

Hi hi!

This week has been pretty exciting and sunny as ever! I love it!
As you can see in my subject, I am a grandma! Sister Cliett is training now, and is excited as ever! She's going to do a fabulous job because she's a great missionary wirh a big heart! (Transfers this time are a little weird, she already has her new missionary but the rest of us won't experience transfers till next week... so we will see what happens here...)

The weather here has been fabulous and we've loved soaking in the sun! We've done lots of finding along the Rhein (...a giant river....) and it's been absolutely gorgeous and good for the soul. We've also experienced a bajillion miracles, which I have no time to share, but they've happened and we are grateful!

We've also been doing some studies outside, which have been proven to be more effective than our consecrated finding time. People come to us?? It's been great!

Deyanira is still progressing and looking forward to being baptized next month! I love meeting with her, she is just the best and her testimony is already so strong!

This week we will be meeting with lots of people that we met last week and we are looking forward to it!

I just love serving and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my testimony 100 times per day with strangers! It brings a special joy to life!

"The first great commandment of all eternity is to love God with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—that’s the first great commandment. But the first great truth of all eternity is that God loves us with all of His heart, might, mind, and strength. That love is the foundation stone of eternity, and it should be the foundation stone of our daily life.” - Elder Jeffery R. Holland

(The Rhein & BM, Sprach studies sometimes turn into river preaching- it's a big hit- the ducks absolutely love it, sometimes we wear color-and sometimes it's accidentally the same color. 🌞 zone conference in Zurich a while ago [We sat down first...]...)
